My Thoughts:
Bryce gets her own little crew of friends in this books which is nice because she was such a loner in book 1. I was so happy to see her reconcile with Ithan and have him brought back into the book as a character. Bryce's cousin Cormac shows up, Therian takes on a prominent character role, Ruhn starts working with the rebels and develops a crush on agent Daybright "Day" and OH MY GOD when you find out who that is your mind will f*cking melt because I didn't see that one coming. Bastion's character development in book 2 is phenomenal. You learn a lot more about the races of Midgard. I knew the asteri were pieces of shit but wow. They’re actually seriously evil. And the Vanir seems sort of lazy and stupid for believing the bullshit. In addition to all of that, what a fucking epic ending. It ends of a cliffhanger so make sure that you have book 3 bought and ready to go.
