How far would you go for happily ever after?
For as long as she can remember, Evangeline Fox has believed in true love and happy endings... until she learns that the love of her life will marry another.
Desperate to stop the wedding and to heal her wounded heart, Evangeline strikes a deal with the charismatic but wicked Prince of Hearts. In exchange for his help, he asks for three kisses, to be given at the time and place of his choosing.
But after Evangeline’s first promised kiss, she learns that bargaining with an immortal is a dangerous game—and that the Prince of Hearts wants far more from her than she’d pledged. He has plans for Evangeline, plans that will either end in the greatest happily ever after or the most exquisite tragedy...
πMy Thoughts:
Just in case you're not done with the world of Caraval (I am definitely not). Fear not! There's more. More Jacks that is, and lots of him. We get a new female main character, Evangeline who really wants to find a love with a fairy tale ending and if she needs to get the fates, magic, vampires and etc involved well...she most definitely will. Much to my delight, of course. Eve does have a bit of a Cinderella story with the whole stepmother/stepsister, meeting a prince at the ball type of thing. The similiararities end there. Jacks is pretty much the same Jacks but we do have some other major players in this book like Prince Apollo & we meet a couple of new fates. Anyways, Jacks is back on his bullshit so we do know that this isn't going to go smoothly for Eve at all. Eve treks up North on a mission that Scarlett and Donatella send her on, to attend a ball. Things get verrry entertaining from there and you simply must have book two ready to go!
