Laughing All The Way by Mia Summers

My Rating: 4/5

Primary Genre: Holiday Romance

Blurb: He needs to pull off the perfect Christmas. She needs to take it down. But what happens when natural enemies meet under the mistletoe? Sassy influencer Noelle revels in poking fun at, well, everything. Her sharp wit has made her an internet sensation with legions of fans. But her ratings are declining, and now she needs to do something big to win them back she needs to take down the self-proclaimed Christmas Town, USA. Colin is the youngest mayor in Evergreen Creek’s history. The town is the embodiment of Christmas, famed for its festive traditions, tree lighting ceremony, and good cheer. In Colin’s fervor to uphold the town’s traditions, he’s so lost in his work that he’s forgotten what Christmas truly means. When Colin hears of Noelle’s impending arrival, he’s determined to show the snarky influencer how wonderful Christmas can be. Hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, and a late-night skate around a giant Christmas tree are all in the cards as he tries to win her over. But Noelle can’t be swayed. Until they have that moment under the mistletoe. Laughing All the Way is a sweet Christmas romcom with all the banter, feels, and Christmas magic you crave. Come to Evergreen Creek, where the holiday spirit is always in the air and love is just a laugh away.

My Thoughts:

A Mia Summers Christmas novel that I wish that I had read between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Normally I am a sucker for Christmas and I just could not get into it this year. I'll just re-read this next year and get myself in the mood right away🤷.

This is the final Mia Summers book in my TBR and forgive me for saying that I'm ready for a bit of spice in my life after this one.

Our MC Noelle is a GRINCH. She's an internet famous YouTuber known for her bluntness. Colin is the handsome (and youngest) small town mayor (and the town Santa) of Christmas Town USA , aka Evergreen Creek. He obviously loves Christmas.

Noelle pays a trip to Evergreen Creek for work, covering the annual Christmas Festival which doubles as one of the struggling small town's fundraisers.

I honestly did not like Noelle's character in the beginning. Idc why she hates Christmas, her terribly negative attitude bleeds into her own thoughts and it gave me the ick. Colin is the perfect counterbalance to Noelle's and trust me when I tell you that you'll fall in love with both of them. And the town of Evergreen Creek.

I've read a lot of Mia Summers books recently and this is definitely spicier than the others. But definitely still not spicy. The storyline of this book is actually really great. While it does have a Hallmark Christmas movie feel to it, it does stray from that vibe and I really enjoyed reading this book. Could not put it down, obviously, as I'm typing this review at almost 1AM and I work at 7:30AM.

This book explores difficult family relationships that inevitably come to light during the holidays. There are wonderful themes of community and forgiveness. This book is sure to warm your heart with Christmas spirit and this is the best Mia Summers book I've read.
