🖉My Thoughts:

Can part 2 be more unhinged than book 1? Idk I feel like there’s something wrong with me to be saying this but this book is like 90% less demented and I didn’t love that about it. I expected this book to somehow outdo book 1 in the series? I didn’t realize that about myself until I finished the book. Book 1 has so many jaw dropping moments in it that I guess I somehow expected Lauren to push the limits further here (is that possible?) There might be something very wrong with me though haha….I might need a darkness break. In addition to that, I found Dalton and Rayna to be much more unlikable in this book. I liked them better when they had more animosity towards each other. The plot fell kind of flat for me on this one also. I don't regret reading it, I'm just let down that it's nowhere near as good as the first.
