THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB
In a peaceful retirement village, four unlikely friends meet weekly in the Jigsaw Room to discuss unsolved crimes; together they call themselves the Thursday Murder Club.
When a local developer is found dead with a mysterious photograph left next to the body, the Thursday Murder Club suddenly find themselves in the middle of their first live case.
As the bodies begin to pile up, can our unorthodox but brilliant gang catch the killer, before it's too late?
My Thoughts:
A murder mystery set in a Britain retirement community full of a quirky and entertaining cast of characters. I think that some of the humor was lost on me because I just don’t understand British humor quite like I would if I lived there. That being said this was still an entertaining mystery. I did find the read to be a bit slow at times but everything all comes together in quite the interesting way so that this shapes into a series. The “who” in the whodunit was a surprise to me and I always love it when I can’t predict the killer. This is a cute little read. I watched the Netflix movie as well and it’s honestly not too bad of an adaptation!
