My Thoughts:
The plot of this book was wild! It reads more like a romantic suspense novel with some spice with a sprinkle of mafia vibes. The FMC is likeable, however, she is super naive and oblivious. She also spends a strange amount of time vomiting. The MMC is a morally black bad boy with a girlfriend straight out of the movie Jawbreaker. The side characters really round the story out and make it shine, in my opinion. I came to love Fallon’s bodyguard James. Reaper is hilarious in his own twisted way. And Martha is super sweet. WARNING: So many of the characters are completely and totally despicable, you may find yourself needing a drink or a cigarette while reading. I don’t drink OR smoke. Incredible plotline, especially for a debut effort. It does end on a cliffhanger, which ya’ll know pisses me off to no end and this cliffhanger is MAJOR. But if I know Faye, she’s already got something cookin’ and we won’t have to wait too long to pick up where we left off.
