Blurb: Trauma doesn’t go away just because you found love; it sticks in your blood like a parasite you’ll always have to live with.
I have desired her for years, always protecting her from afar, and stealing the voices of those who harmed us—silencing their cruel words forever.
Driven by jealousy, I tear down walls until I find her, our love a haunting fixation that consumes my thoughts.
When her façade cracks, I find my soul connected to someone just as unhinged as I.
Will we see past our deep-seated insecurities, or will we burn the world to the ground first with our obsessions?

My Thoughts:

First things first, I can hardly contain my excitement that Billy from Savage Keepsakes (<——link to review) is a pretty big character in this storyline. If you haven’t read it yet, why not? It’s a hot mess express horror erotica and perfect for getting “in the mood” for Halloween (what is wrong with me?) That being said, you don’t need to have read Savage Keepsakes to understand the plot or storyline of Hang For Me. There are a couple of “easter eggs” pertaining to Billy that you’ll only understand if you’ve read it, though. Alright, I’m done raving about Savage Keepsakes and Billy.

The main characters in this book are Jackson and Scarlett and while you could certainly find parallels to draw between these two and Billy & Lucy, trust me they are completely different. Scarlett was giving off Sibby (from Haunting Adeline) vibes which I was loving and Jackson was a lot softer than I was expecting him to be. They quickly become obsessed with each other in the most toxic way possible, so buckle up for this roller coaster! These two are totally demented and can’t keep their hands off of each other.

Jackson is a bit timid and honestly kind of sweet when it comes to Scarlett, which I definitely wasn’t expecting. Don’t let that fool you, he is an absolute beast in every other aspect of his life. As things progress between Scarlett and Jackson she airs out some trauma that comes as a surprise and makes for some delightfully evil and disgusting plot twists.

This is a great read for the Halloween season or anyone who enjoys really gory dark/horror romance. As always, check the triggers as there is a laundry list and then enjoy!
