But as their friendship develops into something more, the restless ghosts left in their wake are only a few steps behind, ready to claim more than just their newfound love. Can Rowan and Sloane dig themselves out of a game of graves? Or have they finally met their match?
My Thoughts:
This book was the funniest dark romance I have read to date. It was more of a dark romcom. 2 vigilante serial killers go from kind of enemies to friends. Then the book becomes a will they/won’t they murder spree/slow burn romance. It was giving Deadpool love story vibes, and that’s praise coming from a person who has loved all of the Deadpool movies. The spice fell flat for me. I think it may be because it takes so long for the MC’s to get together that the smut is all condensed into the last half of the book. I like my smut a little more spaced out. The twist towards the end actually surprised me and I feel like it’s rare that a book plot can do that. All in all, I loved the book and I’m breathing a sigh of relief because I already bought the whole trilogy. You’ll be hearing about book #2 soon!
